Student Data
Student information in ACP Learning is associated with participation in school- or organization-authorized learning activities.
School and district context matters. Schools and districts may determine which students are enrolled, what account information is supplied, which courses are available, and which authorized educators or administrators can review student learning information.
Educational Records
Grades, submissions, completion records, and course activity should be accessed only by users who have an educational or administrative need to review that information.
Student Account Information
Student account information is used to identify the learner, connect the learner with the correct course, and maintain the learner's progress within the learning environment.
Authentication & Platform Integrations
ACP Learning uses Moodle LMS and may support organizational authentication through Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.

Privacy, Student Data & Accessibility Standards
ACP Learning's privacy practices are informed by recognized education privacy, children's privacy, data protection, and accessibility frameworks. References to these standards describe the principles ACP uses to guide its practices and are not presented as third-party certifications.
FERPA — Student Education Records
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the privacy of student education records at schools subject to the law. ACP Learning supports school-authorized educational use of student information and role-based access to course records. Schools remain responsible for determining applicable FERPA requirements and authorized disclosures.
COPPA — Children's Online Privacy
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and COPPA Rule establish protections for personal information collected online from children under 13 when the law applies. ACP's approach emphasizes limited collection, educational purpose, security, appropriate notice, and school/parent involvement as applicable.
GDPR — Data Protection Principles
Where the GDPR applies, its core principles include lawfulness, fairness and transparency; purpose limitation; data minimisation; accuracy; storage limitation; integrity and confidentiality; and accountability. ACP uses these principles as privacy-design guidance, including collecting information for defined educational purposes and limiting retention to operational and legal needs.
WCAG 2.2 — Accessibility
ACP recognizes the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 as an important accessibility standard for digital content. WCAG organizes accessibility around content that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. ACP works to make learning and support content usable by a broad range of learners and technologies.

Account Security & Access
Protecting accounts requires both platform controls and responsible user behavior.
Authorized Access
Users should access only the accounts, courses, records, and information for which they have been authorized.
Password Protection
Passwords should not be shared. Users should use the password-reset process or contact their teacher or support team if account access is lost.
Authentication
When Google or Microsoft authentication is enabled, the identity provider helps verify the user's identity during sign-in.
Technical Logs
System and activity logs may help administrators troubleshoot account issues, review platform activity, and support the operation of the LMS.
Data Retention & Account Changes
The length of time course and account data is retained may depend on course operations, school or district requirements, support needs, and the configuration of the ACP Learning environment.

What student information can appear in ACP Learning?

Who can see student grades and course activity?
Access depends on assigned LMS roles and school or district configuration. Student academic information should be available only to authorized users with an educational or administrative need.
Does ACP support Google or Microsoft login?
ACP Learning supports Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 authentication for organizations where those options are configured.
