ACP LMS Teacher Quick-Start Guide

A practical reference for checking enrollment, reviewing grades, grading course activities, communicating with students, monitoring progress, and releasing modules.

Getting Started

Log in with your ACP credentials, then choose the correct course from your dashboard.

1. Sign in

Visit acpathwayslearning.us and log in using your assigned credentials.

Master shell:

Daily Teaching Tasks

Use these sections as a quick reference for the tasks you will complete most often.

Checking the Roll

  • Open your course.
  • Select Participants from the middle menu bar.
  • Review the list of enrolled students.
  • Filter by group, role, or activity status as needed.

Checking the Gradebook

  • Select Grades from the middle menu bar.
  • Grader Report: overview of students and assignments.
  • User Report: grades for one student.
  • Single View: edit one activity or one student.
  • Export grades to Excel, text, or another available format when needed.

Select Grades from the course menu.

Choose the gradebook view that matches your task.

Reviewing Quizzes

  • Open the quiz inside your course.
  • Select Results from the middle menu bar.
  • Review answers, scores, and time taken.
  • Use Regrade after updating quiz questions.

Grading Assignments

  • Open the assignment activity.
  • Select View all submissions.
  • Download student work as needed.
  • Assign grades and leave feedback.

Grading Forums (Exit Tickets)

  1. Log in and open your course.
  2. Select the forum activity you want to grade.
  3. Choose Grade users at the bottom of the forum.
  4. Review the participant list and student posts.
  5. Read each student's contributions.
  6. Enter the grade in the grade box.
  7. Add feedback comments when appropriate.
  8. Save your changes.
  9. Repeat for each student.
Tip: When advanced grading is enabled, a rubric may appear instead of a simple grade box.

Communicating with Students

  • Post course updates in the Announcements Forum.
  • Announcements appear inside the ACP LMS.
  • Messages may also be emailed to enrolled students.

Monitoring Student Activity

  • Open More, then select Reports.
  • Logs: detailed student activity.
  • Activity completion: module and assignment completion.

Use Reports to review logs and completion data.

Releasing Course Modules

You can make a hidden module visible immediately or control access using date and activity-completion restrictions.

8. Unhide a Module
  1. Log in and open your course.
  2. Scroll to the module or topic you want to release.
  3. Turn on Edit Mode using the slider at the top right.
  4. Select the three-dot menu beside the module name.
  5. Choose Show section or Unhide.
  6. Confirm that the module is visible to students.

Use the three-dot module menu and select Show.

Tip: Repeat these steps for each module you want to release.
9. Use Restricted Access
  • Turn on Edit Mode.
  • Select the three-dot menu beside the module.
  • Choose Edit settings.
  • Find Restrict access.
  • Add, remove, or change the current access condition.
  • Use a date or activity-completion condition when appropriate.

Available conditions may include activity completion, date, grade, group, user profile, and restriction sets.
